I have many and varied interests and this blog is where I write about them. Expect the subjects covered to include:
Business change, process and management – I have been involved in this professionally for coming up to 10 years. Basically I help people frame, understand and solve problems.
Self Protection – I teach regular seminars and classes in self protection, focussing on the strategies and behaviours that promote a safe lifestyle. This is the basis of the term safeism, and idea of being a safe, secure person without the paranoia present in much self defence training. One of the key elements of this is self-reliance and the willingness to take responsibility for ones own actions.
HEMA – Historical European Martial Arts. The indigious historical fighting arts of Europe. The research, revival and promotion of these arts. Closely linked are the 19th Century antagonisitc systems developed around the turn of the previous century.
In addition I am a humanist/atheist and libertarian with a deep suspicion of state and religion.

Dwight McLemore, Here…….I ran across your site/blog while surfing SFI…….I tell you what I think you pretty much nailed-it in terms of what has become wrong with that forum. I pretty much use it only for a resource now dropping in occasionally to ‘pull thier chain’. I guess the banning of Scott Brown pretty much wrapped up any hope for ‘Reality’ there. Sad part is that Greg and other were good friends when all this WMA started back in the early 90s. I’ve no idea why they have become what they are now other than it’s a power-thing. On the positive side thanks so much for putting up those manuals in PDF. Good luck in all your training. BTW go up on the Paladin Press website, check out Paladin Planet and there is a blog about the video we did on the tomahawk early this month…. you might find interesting.
Oh yes, are there any other good blogs like this that I can look at.

Thought I’d let you know that there are problems with YerkowStickPlay.pdf and ColdSteel.pdf at the moment.
The MarineBowi.pdf document looks interesting, but there are bits of the pages missing on side and bottom edges.

My background in self defence comes from my martial arts training – various arts from childhood, but now mostly combatives and Bartitsu. I also have 9 years experience n the security industry (Bouncer, prisoner escort, undercover detection and monitoring, that kind of thing), and a degree in Criminology.
I’d love to see your G-G edit. You have my email I think.
