The UK has allowed Sharia courts to exist? That’s insane.

It is. I mean, in theory people should be free to solve disputes between them y whatever means they both agree to. Things like contracts should be able to arbitrated as people choose. However, as Pat Condell points out, people will be pressured and forced into using these courts, which are essentially sexist. If the state has any role in our lives at all, it is to stop things like this.
